Leadership in business:

Adam Schwam is a recognized expert who provides Long Island businesses with a wide range of technology and business consulting services. Since 1997, his company, Sandwire Corp., has distinguished itself as a preeminent technology resource for the Long Island business community. Under Mr. Schwam's leadership, the company has maintained a 20 percent average growth over the past seven years. Sandwire provides businesses with a singular technology resource capable of meeting any company's needs, including the implementation, management, and maintenance of a business's computer network, Email related services, and Web site and database development. Mr. Schwam promotes the service philosophy that his company will take full ownership of any technology issue that arises for a client, and maintain full ownership of that issue until it is completely resolved. This approach differentiates Sandwire Corp. from others in the sector, and has been an integral part of the company's ability to develop long lasting business relationships. Due to Sandwire's success and growth, the company relocated to a larger state-of-the-art facility in Old Bethapage in November 2004.

Business recognition:

Mr. Schwam is an active member of many Long Island business associations and not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the Small Business Association, and represented the organization on a trip to Italy to promote a multi-cultural exchange of business ideas. Most recently, Mr. Schwam was presented the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Education and Assistance Corporation, which is a not-for-profit organization that provides a broad array of educational counsel, mediation, and intervention services. Mr. Schwam is extremely dedicated to the organization; he serves on a number of committees and assisted the group's WORC program by donating 20 computers, installation and maintenance services to ensure the program's success. He is also a member of the Preferred Provider Network and the Huntington Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Partnership. In addition, Mr. Schwam's dedication to the Long Island Elite is an integral part of the organization's success by playing a key role in the group's development, expansion, and promotion.

Community involvement:

Mr. Schwam has a long history of service to the Long Island Community. He is member of the board of directors of Commerce Plaza, a local educational program that teaches elementary school students about business skills and running a company. He donates his professional service to Pet Peeves. He is a member of the American Heart Associations annual gala committee and supports the Coalition on Child Abuse and Neglect on several levels. Most recently, Mr. Schwam has taken an active role in promoting and raising funds for the second annual Long Island Fight For Charity. As a volunteer boxer, he individually raised more than $10,000 for the benefit of several Long Island charitable organizations.
